Life with two!

Blogging might start to slow down! keeping up with two has been so fun and busy at the same time. I thought I didn't have time with just Brecke and now I really feel like I don't have time. I can only imagine how its going to go with three of four!! Well, to catch up on life events Jack is growing like a weed and so is Brecke. I want to freeze both of them everyday. Jack already looks like a little man instead of my sweet precious new born. He is such a joy to have around. I don't think I could have gotten a sweeter, more calm baby then he is. He is always so happy. Most the time you can just find him chilling without making a peep or cooing to his toys. He is smiling so much right now. It's such a amazing feeling to always get the biggest smile out of him every time he see's me. The love and bond between a mother and child is un real. you think it might not be as amazing or as exciting as it was with the first child but it never gets old or feels any less compared to the first time. My little Jack as already stole my heart. I tease Kyle all the time that he better be on his "A" game because Jack's winning my heart over him. Then of course Kyle say's that Brecke has already won his!!! We both can't get enough of them! When I took Jack to his 2 month old appointment which was really more like his 3 month since they couldn't get us in tell then he weighed in at 12 pounds 8 ounces and 25.5 inches long. 53% for weight and 94% for length. He is one healthy boy. Jack is doing so well with everything over all. He seems like such a easier baby then Brecke was. Oh how we love our Brecke her full of life personality. Jack is now grabbing at his toys and totally loving being talked too. He will smile for an hour straight if you were to talk to him for an hour. He also has been a pretty good sleeper other then the last week or so, so I'm hoping he's just having a growth spurt or something that will pass. Before then though he was eating his last feeding at 10 pm and sleeping until about 4 or 5 am. It was pretty nice. I thought I was on my way to getting him to sleep until 7am but I guess that will have to wait.
Brecke on the other hand has been full of life lately. She has a thought and opinion on how she wants her day every minute of the day. She is very vocal...SURPRISE SURPRISE!!! She has been very fun to watch grow and become such a smart little girl. I swear she is the smartest little one year old almost two year old every! Isn't that what us moms all think of our kids! She really amazes me daily with what she understand and can do. She mimics everything and I mean everything. Some of my favorite times right now with her are talking with her at night when she wants me to tickle her back. I love listen to her have a conversation with me that makes no sense but yet make so much sense to me. I love that she wants me to lay with her in her bed and like tonight when she wants to tickle my back and love on me. She says, "hug", "kiss" over and over, oh how I can't get enough of it. The biggest thing in Brecke life right now is that she has gotten rid of the BINKY!!!!! She did so well, I can't even believe how well she did. We had Kade and the family over one night and all took her to the canal by our house and watched her throw every last one in the "WA, WA" which is water and cheered loud and proud. She was so excited that we all thought she was so cool, that she keep says all the way back home, DEE in WA, WA" dee is binky. We then gave her a fun new toy and that was the end of it. I dreaded the day for so long and it went over some much better then I ever thought it could. She did have a hard time going to sleep for a few days but it wasn't because she wanted the binky but more because she didn't know how to just relax and soothe herself without it. The very next morning when she woke up her first thing she said was, "DEE in WA, WA" I laughed and couldn't believe how smart my little Breckie is! Brecke's BFF turned two on August 12th and we were lucky to have her over that day. Despite the fun birthday party that Brecke already went to the weekend before we still wanted to celebrate the real day! When the girls woke up from their naps we made cupcakes and I mean "WE". They both took turns pouring in the ingredients and stirring. It was so fun! I even dug out Brecke's birthday crown and Scarlett worn it all day.

Jack's Blessing

Most all the family was able to come down for Jack's blessing. It was such a pleasant and enjoyable time. There's is no explanation for the feeling of having the priesthood in our home and to know that the kids have their fathers love and blessings. Jack was perfect as always and didn't make a peep during the blessing. And of course he looked way to cute for his britches. I have some pretty fun pictures that will always be so special. This was also the first time Jack got to meet his uncle Kenny and Aunt LIsa. Thanks to our great family for traveling to us.


Brecke is so so sweet with Jack. She has been so perfect with him so far. She has loved him so much from day one. She always wants to love on him and hold him. She now is starting to play with him with her toys and singing to him. Here she is drawing for "BE,BE" which is baby with her new toy.


The traditional 24th up in ogden. Kyle's parents have wanted to start a fun tradition with the 24th for the grandkids and so far both years have been a hit!! Last year we thought that the fir work show that Kurt put on for us couldn't have been any better, but then this year might have topped it!! HE full on lined up all the fireworks that he bought in the garage in the order that he wanted to do them. Blake was again his wing man and both gave us a night full of laughs. Blake might have lost his hearing and Kurt was about to blow us all up but all in all we couldn't get enough of it. I even got a battle wound by trying to participate. Fun times. The kids had so much fun together too. We think we might be on the path of Liv and Brecke getting along. Both girls get along great with Nash and believe me when I say Brecke gets along well with Nash because I think this might be the cousin she will have a secret crush on. Brecke doesn't go one day without talking about Nash. When she wakes in the mornings I always ask her if she had a good nights rest and what she dreamed about and the first thing she say's is, "Nash, and didi" didi is Dixie.
This is also the first time Jack met his great grandparents.


For journaling sake we named Jack after all of his grandparents and father. Both grandparents names are John as well as Kyle's dad and Kyle. Well as Kyle's grandparents have gotten older they have turned John into Jack. And thats where is came from. We have some amazing four generation pictures.
