Take two!

Here's Brecke's infant pictures finally. So I posted previously that I had them done when she was two weeks by and friend, and you'll never believe what happened. She called me a few days later and told me that they had all been DELETED.... Yes deleted. I guess her assistants computer crashed that had all of them on it and they weren't able to retrieve them. Can you believe that!!! I was so sad after all we went through that day to get Breacke to cooperate.

luckily I was able to have another friend of a friend come the next week and re take them. I don't know why I hadn't thought of her to begin with, but I'm glad I remembered the cute pictures she had taken for another friend of mine.
Her name is Serena Martineau and her photography is Simply Serenity photography. She has a blog @ www.simplyserenityphotography.blogspot.com Her prices are great and of course her work is good. Thanks Serena:) And thanks you again for being patient while Brecke peed and pooed all over the place again.
I attached a slide show below, so ENJOY!

Picture time

So on Tuesday Breacke got her infant pictures done:) It was so fun. This is her at the beginning of the day all happy and ready for the day and then this is her by the end of the day!

She was wiped out. So a friend of mine that went to college with me does photography and came to the house to get her pictures done. Of course I don't really know what I want and so because she is so nice she offered to come take them and not charge me if there not what I'm looking for. She does more candied work and wasn't sure if I was looking for more studio looking pictures. I'm sure I'm going to love what she did because there were some pretty cute poses. Anyways it was fun to get our first family picture. Kyle was way cute about it and was a trouper as always. She took some of us as a family first and then she took some of us individually with Brecke. Well my session went great and then it was Kyles turn and of course he was the one to get the first spill. So usually when they have there first infant pictures there naked and so she was and she peed all over Kyle. That wasn't the worst of it. I then was holding her again for some individual ones of me and her again and she pooed big time all over. You would think most of it would land in my hand since I was holding her bum... but NO it went all down the front of me and on the carpet:( We then got her cleaned up and did some more pictures and had her on a rug on her tummy and she peed again. That one wasn't so bad because the rug socked it up and so I really didn't even know until I picked her up. Well then of course she was wide eyed and awake the whole time we were taking pictures and most the time they like them to be asleep so that they get good ones. Well I feed her a little and tried to get her to go to sleep and put her in her last outfit and pose for the night and she was sound asleep and all of a sudden her legs start slipping out from under her. Yep you guessed it, she peed again. This time though she was on her tummy on a chair and was laying in her own puddle of pee. By that time I was done and so was Brecke. I don't know if she liked being naked or not but I sure didn't like it. I should be getting the pictures back this weekend and will have to post some. I just can't stand how cute she is:)

Brecke's first week of life!

Wow is all I have to say! My life has instantly changed before my eyes. I can't believe how much work this is. Thank goodness for my lovely mother that stayed with me for a whole week. And a husband that has been so supportive of my crazy hormone's that are going everywhere but where they need to be. My first week as a mother has been very interesting. Lets see no sleep, changing diapers, feeding, and comforting a crying baby….. over and over again. That's been basically it! Oh ya and did I mention Brecke was tongue tied, and so they had to clip it this week which was sad, but surprisingly very easy and quick. She did great. I just love her more and more everyday. Here are some pictures of her first week of life!!!

My Delivery

OK so the story you all have been waiting to here, or maybe that I was waiting to tell. So as you all know I was dying to get this baby here due to my obesity. So I was seen by my doctor on Saturday again for the third time that week and started having some contractions at one that afternoon that kept going until that evening. I didn't want to go into the hospital because they weren't really painful, just uncomfortable, and everyone had told me that when I started having contractions that were going to put me into labor they would be pretty painful. So after me and Kyle discussed it for an hour….. we decided we were going to wait. So I get into bed at about eleven and of course I started having bad back pain. So then I starting timing my contractions again and now they were three minutes apart instead of five. I then thought that the pain was enough to go in. SO Kyle and me grab all the bags and head out to the hospital. I was hooked up to all the monitors and was told that I was having consistent contractions and that they were pretty good ones but that I wasn't dilating. So they sent me home with an Ambin pill to help me get through the night and told me that my doctor wanting me to come back in the morning to be checked to see if I had dilated more. (Side note I now know why people love Ambin…. That stuff knocked me out). I then woke up at six in the morning with back pain again and went in at eight to have the doctor check me. And boy oh boy it was time. I had dilated to a three and the doctor stated that it was progress from the night before so they admitted me. Oh man I was not knowing what to think now that it was really time. They set me up in my room and put me on some patosum (how ever you spell it) and waited for me to dilate a little more. When I got to a four the doctor came in and broke my water which was at about 11:30 am. Now it was even more real then ever before. I was so nervous because I knew it wouldn't be long now. They then told me I could have my epidural whenever I wanted it, and for some reason I thought that I would feel a few really bad contractions before I got my epidural. I then had about three bad contractions and decided that I was ready for the pain to be done. I then got my epidural which went pretty good. I think my nerves and having contraction while they were giving me my epidural was the worst part. After that it was smooth sailing. Delivery was awesome!! I only pushed for about thirty minutes and it was great, I can't believe how cool it was. She was then here at 8:18 PM ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 14 SHE WEIGHED 6 POUNDS 10 OUNCES AND 20 INCHES LONG. She was so cute right from the git go. She was so alert and just stared at me and Kyle it was priceless. Over all it was a experience I will never forget and it went so well. Here are some of her birth pictures enjoy!!!!
